Location of protons in anhydrous Keggin heteropolyacids H(3)PMo(12)O(40) and H(3)PW(12)O(40) by (1)H[(31)P]/(31)P[(1)H] REDOR NMR and DFT quantum chemical calculations.
HeteroPolyAcids (HPA's) are a class of solid acids that have broad applications in many fields of science and technology, including catalysis and chemical engineering. The proton locations within the thermally stable and commonly known Keggin unit, which is the primary structure building unit/block, has remained undetermined in anhydrous HPAs, despite numerous theoretical and experimental effor...
متن کاملP MRS of human brain tumors at 3 T using 1 H – 31 P polarization transfer
Introduction: It is well known that tumors have an abnormal phospolipid metabolism[1]. This is typically reflected in the higher phosphomonoester and total choline compound levels observed by in vivo P and H MRS respectively, which may be used as biomarkers for diagnosis and treatment evaluation [1,2,3,4]. For practical and sensitivity reasons H MRS has been used most extensively in the clinic ...

We study the CP-violating bubble wall by solving the coupled equations of motion derived from the two-Higgs-doublet model for the moduli ρ i and phases θ i of the two scalars (i = 1, 2) at the transition temperature. We find a solution that the CP-violating phase θ ≡ θ 1 − θ 2 connecting the CP-conserving vacua strongly violates CP in the intermediate region while the moduli largely deviate fro...

It is shown that the parity–violating deep–inelastic scatterings of unpolarized charged leptons on polarized protons, ℓ ∓ + P → (−) ν ℓ +X, could provide a sensitive test for the behavior and magnitude of the polarized strange–quark density in a proton. Below charm threshold these processes are also helpful to uniquely determine the magnitude of individual polarized parton distributions.

The unification of gauge couplings suggests that there is an underlying (supersymmetric) unification of the strong, electromagnetic and weak interactions. The prediction of the unification scale may be the first quantitative indication that this unification may extend to unification with gravity. We make a precise determination of these predictions for a class of models which extend the mutiple...
